Sounds like you’ve got your work cut out for you. I use Remember the Milk to keep track of tasks and Google Calendar to keep track of events. I’m a big fan of the stuff Google offers to keep me up to date and in touch. I’ve posted about my love for all things Google and Remember the Milk.
